YouTube Channel Analytics in Your Agency Dashboard

Many of your clients publish videos on YouTube, and until now those numbers end up as a screenshot in the monthly report. MetricDash's YouTube integration pulls the channel's views, watch time, net subscribers, and likes into the client view, each compared with the previous period.

The connection runs via OAuth: Google first asks which account you want to sign in with, then you pick the channel. If the channel belongs to a Brand Account, you select it directly as the account in Google's dialog. MetricDash only gets read access.

YouTube is included in every MetricDash plan, and data sources per client account are unlimited: you pay per client, never per connection. Currently free to use in full during the open alpha.

What the YouTube integration does

The key channel metrics, with comparison

Views, watch time in hours, net subscribers, and likes sit at the top of the YouTube view. Each metric shows the change against the previous period, so you see at a glance whether the channel is growing. Net subscribers offsets new subscribers against lost ones.

Views over time

A chart shows daily views across the selected period. That way you spot which upload caused a spike without switching to YouTube Studio.

The ten strongest videos

A list shows the ten videos with the most views in the period, each with views and watch time. For the conversation with your client, that gives you concrete examples of which content works.

YouTube next to your ad data

YouTube gets its own section in the client dashboard, right next to Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and GA4. You don't build a dashboard: the view is there automatically as soon as the channel is connected.

YouTube numbers in the client portal with their own login

Your clients see their channel numbers themselves at any time in the client portal, without you having to give them access to YouTube Studio. YouTube data doesn't flow into the automatic reports and report links at the moment. Those cover Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Search Console, website traffic, and leads.

How the connection works

  1. 1Connect via OAuthSign in with your Google account and grant MetricDash read access to YouTube and YouTube Analytics. No API keys, no developer credentials.
  2. 2Pick the account in Google's dialogGoogle shows the account chooser when you connect. If the channel runs on a Brand Account, select the channel itself as the account there, not your personal Google account.
  3. 3Assign the channel to the clientMetricDash lists the channels of the chosen account with their subscriber counts. You pick the right channel, and it lands with the right client account.
  4. 4Use the dashboard and client portalMetrics, trend, and top videos appear in the client's YouTube view. Through the client portal, your client sees the same numbers with their own login.

FAQ

Do I need developer access or API keys?

No. You sign in via OAuth with the Google account the channel belongs to and pick the channel. MetricDash only gets read access to channel and analytics data and doesn't change any videos or settings. You can revoke access at any time from your Google account.

My channel doesn't show up in the list. Why?

Most often the channel is a Brand Account. Disconnect, connect again, and select the channel itself as the account in Google's dialog. Channels where you are only an editor or admin can't be discovered automatically through the YouTube API. That's a limit of Google's API that MetricDash can't work around.

What does the YouTube integration cost?

Nothing extra: YouTube is included in every plan, from the Free plan up to the Agency plan (from €99/month, as of October 2026). Data sources per client account are unlimited, you pay per client and never per connection. Currently even free to use in full during the open alpha.

Are the YouTube numbers included in the automatic reports?

Not at the moment. The automatic reports and shareable report links cover Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Search Console, website traffic, and leads. Your client sees the YouTube numbers live in the client portal.

Can I connect one channel each for several clients?

Yes. Every client account gets its own channel. Since MetricDash bills per client account and not per data source, this creates no extra cost, even if a client also has Google Ads, Meta Ads, and GA4 connected.
