Reporting cost calculator: what does your agency reporting really cost?
Reporting tools bill in completely different ways — per client, per data source, per dashboard, per report or per credit. That makes a plain price comparison worthless until it accounts for your setup. Set the two sliders here: how many clients do you manage, and how many data sources does a client have on average?
The calculator instantly shows each tool’s monthly price with the formula behind it — and puts MetricDash right next to it. With MetricDash, data sources per client are always unlimited and included; you only pay per client. With source-based tools, the bill climbs with every platform your clients connect.
We keep it honest: with few data sources MetricDash often isn’t the cheapest tool, and we also tell you which providers don’t make their prices publicly calculable at all. Every formula is based solely on the providers’ public list prices.
Your agency
You save around €397/mo versus the most expensive tool (Whatagraph · €699).

Footnotes
- 1MetricDash: client portals with their own end-client logins are part of the Agency plan.
- 2MetricDash: shareable report pages carry your agency logo — not white-label on your own domain.
- 3Swydo: monitoring features exist, but no 80/100% budget alerts with anomaly detection.
- 4AgencyAnalytics: budget-anomaly alerts only in higher tiers, not in the base plans.
- 5AgencyAnalytics: billed per client — data sources aren’t charged separately.
- 6Databox: branded portals/white-label only on the Custom tier (on request), not on Pro/Growth.
- 7Databox: ad-budget alerts aren’t listed as a dedicated feature on the provider’s pricing page (as of July 2026).
- 8DashThis: data sources capped per bundle (15/40/100/200) — not unlimited-included.

- 12Metrics Watch: alerts only via a separate product (an extra $79–299/mo).
- 13Metrics Watch: unlimited data sources, but billing is per configured report.
- 14Reporting Ninja: template-based reports plus Looker Studio connectors — not a purely native, ready-made dashboard.
- 15Reporting Ninja: branded white-label client portal with login on your own domain.
- 16Reporting Ninja: not billed per source, but accounts per integration type are capped (10/30/70/150 by tier).
The comparison basis is monthly billing (MetricDash bills monthly only); annual prices are noted where known. All amounts are list prices per the providers’ official pricing pages (as of July 2026), without warranty — discounts, add-ons and exchange rates may differ; the official pricing page is always authoritative. USD and EUR amounts are placed 1:1 for comparison; the real euro amount of USD tools varies with the exchange rate.
These tools can’t be calculated publicly
Some providers don’t publish calculable prices — usage units with no price list, quote-only pricing, or “custom” above a certain client count. Instead of inventing a number, we list them honestly here.
- Funnel.ioBills in “Flexpoints” with no public price list — only estimates are possible.
- TapClicksNo public prices; pricing runs entirely through a sales quote.
- SupermetricsPriced by source types × accounts; around 30 clients it moves to enterprise negotiation.
- Looker StudioThe tool itself is free — the real cost is partner connectors plus your working hours.
- Porter MetricsSliding scale per connected account, given by the provider only as a range.
- Coupler.ioThe Active plan up to 15 accounts is clear, but the Pro account cap isn’t published.
- OviondPricing runs through a provider slider; higher client counts are only estimates per the provider.
- ReporteiProjects only in blocks of 5; only individual plan anchors are documented publicly.
- ReportGardenFrom the 11th client a “custom” plan applies with no published price.
- OctoboardModules plus billing by total ad spend; above the entry tier it’s “contact us”.
- AdrielOfficial pricing page blocked — prices only circulate “reportedly”.
How the calculator works
Each tool gets a formula based solely on the providers’ public list prices (monthly billing, as of July 2026). Source-based tools like Swydo (€69 + €4.50 per source above 10), Databox ($199 + $7 per source above 3) and Whatagraph (1 credit per connected account) respond to both sliders; DashThis tiers its bundles by dashboards and total data sources, so it depends on both as well. Per-client and report tools like AgencyAnalytics, Metrics Watch and Reporting Ninja depend only on the client count — for them, extra data sources don’t change the price.
Where the comparison pages had to make an assumption (such as “1 report per client” or “1 dashboard per client”), it’s shown as a basis note right on the card. USD and EUR amounts are placed 1:1 for comparison — the real euro amount of US-dollar tools varies with the exchange rate, which is why the dollar cards flag it.
MetricDash always computes the regular Agency price (€99 incl. 3 clients, then €29 and €19 from the 11th client) — even though everything is currently free during the open alpha. Data sources are always unlimited per client, so the sources slider never moves the MetricDash price.
FAQ
How accurate are the calculated prices?
The formulas are based solely on the providers’ public list prices (as of July 2026, without warranty). Discounts, annual prices, add-ons and exchange rates can change the real amount — the provider’s official pricing page is always authoritative. Where an assumption was needed (e.g. 1 report per client), the calculator shows the basis used on each card.
Why isn’t MetricDash the cheapest tool most of the time?
Because we calculate honestly. With few data sources per client, source-based tools like Swydo are cheaper on paper. MetricDash bills per client with unlimited data sources — the advantage shows up as soon as your clients connect several platforms, and through the included budget alerts, client portals and euro billing with no exchange-rate risk. And right now, in open alpha, MetricDash is completely free anyway.
Why are some tools missing from the calculator?
Some providers don’t publish calculable prices: Funnel.io bills in “Flexpoints” with no price list, TapClicks and Adriel only give quotes, ReportGarden goes “custom” from the 11th client, and Supermetrics tips into enterprise negotiation for larger agencies. We list these transparently as “price not publicly calculable” instead of inventing a number.
