Connect Meta Ads – Facebook & Instagram in one view

Connecting integrations

Requirements

You only need your Meta account with access to the desired ad account — no custom Meta app, no developer access, no API key. The connection runs over OAuth, and MetricDash renews the access token automatically afterwards: connect once and you are done.

Connect your Meta account

MetricDash has read access only and pulls campaign insights — it changes nothing about your ads, campaigns or budgets. You can revoke access at any time in your Meta account.

  3. 3Select the matching ad account.
  4. 4Assign the connection to the MetricDash client.

Comparable with Google Ads

MetricDash normalises the Meta metrics to the same vocabulary as Google Ads: spend, clicks, conversions, CTR and CPC mean the same thing in both columns. So per client, in one view, you see which platform converts more cheaply — without exports and without doing the maths.

Insights are fetched daily, so trends become visible over time. Meta spend also feeds budget monitoring: you get an alert at 80% and 100% of the monthly budget, and anomaly detection flags unusual spend spikes.

In reports and the client portal

Meta campaigns land automatically in your scheduled report emails and in shareable report links — frozen snapshots, valid for 30 days. In the client portal your client sees their Facebook and Instagram performance themselves at any time, live and read-only.

Because data sources per client are unlimited, Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console simply come on top without changing the price — billing is per client account. For you that means less screenshot-gathering at month-end, for your client current numbers instead of stale PDFs.

Common pitfalls

  • No custom Meta app: hunting for app IDs or tokens in Meta Business Suite makes it needlessly hard — OAuth is enough.
  • Right ad account: if you have access to several accounts, pick the correct one — each connection belongs to exactly one client.
  • No re-login needed: the token renews itself; dashboards and alerts keep running without interruption.
