Pirsch Analytics Dashboard & Client Portal for Agencies

Pirsch is a cookieless analytics tool from Germany — the data is hosted with Hetzner in Germany, with no cookie banner and without visitor data ending up with Google. For clients with strict privacy requirements, the German hosting in particular is often the deciding argument. MetricDash pulls the numbers straight into each client's Website tab: sessions, unique visitors, pageviews, traffic channels, and top pages.

The connection runs per client via an OAuth client — no tracking code. You create an OAuth client in Pirsch under Settings → Integrations, enter its client ID and client secret plus the client's hostname (e.g. example.com) in MetricDash, and we map the matching Pirsch domain automatically. Important: the "Access Keys" (pa_ prefix) are write-only and don't work for statistics — for reporting you need an OAuth client.

Pirsch is included in every MetricDash plan, and data sources per client account are unlimited — you pay per client, never per connection. Agency plan from €99/month (launch pricing, as of July 2026), currently free to use in full during the open alpha. On Pirsch's side, API access via an OAuth client is included in every cloud plan.

What the Pirsch integration does

Traffic channels with the primary source highlighted

MetricDash shows where each client's visitors come from — organic, referral, direct, or from social networks. The dominant source is highlighted, so you see at a glance what actually carries the website. Pirsch delivers these channels directly, so you get the same read as Google Analytics — just cookieless.

Cookieless, hosting in Germany

Pirsch measures cookieless and without personal data — no consent banner needed, and the data is hosted with Hetzner in Germany. Pirsch is a German company, which makes GDPR compliance even more tangible for many clients. MetricDash picks up exactly those numbers without you changing anything about the measurement.

All the core numbers in the Website tab

Sessions, unique visitors, pageviews, bounce rate, and average session duration sit in the client dashboard's Website tab — the same provider-agnostic view that Google Analytics 4 fills. Switch providers later and the view stays the same, your workflow unchanged.

Top pages and device split

Which pages pull their weight, and what device are visitors on? The top pages and the split across desktop and mobile sit right in the dashboard. On top of that, you see the daily trend over the selected range — no export, no spreadsheet.

Numbers in the client portal with their own login

Your clients get their own read-only login and see their website numbers live at any time — without you granting access to your Pirsch account or sending screenshots. They see the same channels, pages, and sessions you see in the dashboard, just without your agency internals.

How the connection works

  1. 1Create an OAuth client in PirschCreate an OAuth client in Pirsch under Settings → Integrations and note down the client ID and client secret. Heads up: the "Access Keys" (pa_…) are write-only and don't work for statistics — for reporting you need the OAuth client.
  2. 2Connect via client ID, secret, and hostnameIn MetricDash, enter the client ID, client secret, and the client's hostname (e.g. example.com). MetricDash maps the matching Pirsch domain automatically. Then link the connection to the client account — you can combine as many sources as you like per client.
  3. 3Use the Website tab in the dashboardSessions, visitors, pageviews, channels, and top pages appear automatically in the client's Website tab — next to Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Search Console. You build no dashboard and configure nothing.
  4. 4Enable the client portalGive your client their own portal login if you want. They see the same website numbers live and read-only, at any time — without access to your Pirsch account or your agency view.

FAQ

How do I connect Pirsch to MetricDash?

Via an OAuth client: you create an OAuth client in Pirsch under Settings → Integrations and enter its client ID and client secret plus the client's hostname (e.g. example.com) in MetricDash. We map the matching Pirsch domain automatically and link the connection to the client account.

Why doesn't my Access Key (pa_…) work?

Pirsch "Access Keys" with the pa_ prefix are only meant for writing data and don't return any statistics. For reporting in MetricDash you need an OAuth client with statistics access, which you create in Pirsch under Settings → Integrations.

Where is the data hosted?

Pirsch is a German company and hosts the data with Hetzner in Germany. Measurement is cookieless and without personal profiles — a consent banner usually isn't needed, and the data doesn't go to Google. MetricDash only ever gets read access to the stats.

What does the Pirsch integration cost?

Nothing extra on the MetricDash side — Pirsch is included in every plan, from the Free plan up to the Agency plan (from €99/month, launch pricing, as of July 2026). Data sources per client account are unlimited: you pay per client, never per connection. On Pirsch's side, API access via an OAuth client is included in every cloud plan. Currently, during the open alpha, MetricDash is completely free.

Can my clients view their own Pirsch numbers?

Yes. Through the client portal, every client gets their own login and sees their sessions, channels, and top pages themselves at any time — live and read-only, without access to your Pirsch account. The Pirsch data appears in the dashboard and the portal; website analytics aren't yet included in the automatic report emails.
